| Just bought it a few days ago. In chapter 2 now. I'm attempting to beat it completely, with all the tattle cards, etc.
What are your thoughts on this game compared to the other PMs?
I think I miss the battles. Now you just jump on enemies and kill them, with no elaborate battle. The 3D is a little confusing, but I think it's a clever concept. And Peach just joined my party........seriously? |

| I'm low on cash... not really... But I'm not gonna spend $50 on a game if I'm not sure I'll like it. I liked the battles in the old ones, they just got too repeitive after a while. So if Peach joined your party, then that must mean that she doesn't need to be rescued again, or do you save her early on? _________________

| Billssabresyanks, you need to play the Paper Mario games. At least the Thousand Year Door for GCN. It's great. See if you can borrow it or something. You're missing out. eclipse148, Peach fell out of the sky. I gave her some food and she got healthy and joined my party. So I don't have to save her. I think I actually have to save Bowser. The storyline is weird and I go fast through the cutscenes. (PM cutscenes are ridiculously long...I bet if you put all the dialogue from PM TYD into printed form it would make a whole novel. I'm serious.) |

| You don't really save him. He shows up like Peach. And you convince him that if the world ends, he can't take it over. And his minions will be under the rule of a different evil lord, and Bowser can't stand for that.
He breathes fire and destroys all enemies in his way. |

RPG's dialogues are always long, plus you need to have the full list of items/techniques/places/enemies. That's why the first games in the Fire Emblem series were only in Japan, they were too lazy to translate it. I own the first one and I liked it, even thought I never understood how to play the games in the hidden pipe. It says you need a card, where's that frickin card? _________________

| | To play in the Playroom, you need a Silver or Gold card. They're hidden in the game somewhere. |

I need to find where, I know what I need! Else, what were your favorite bosses? Mine was General Guy, along with the cool music! Also Crystal King was fun. When he duplicates himself, you need to use an attack that attacks every enemies. Bowser was too easy, which isn't normal. The last Bowser is easier that then the Ninja Koopas, the first boss. _________________

| If you know what to do, why did you say you "never understood" how to play in the Playroom????
The sense of adventure lies in finding the cards yourself.
And I don't really remember those bosses.... |

My favorite boss was the Lava Piranha. How do you get those cards? You get the cards by doing favors for Koopa Koot _________________

Yeah, just keep doing him favors. He'll also give you coins and items. _________________

| Ah, okay. I don't feel like going through Paper Mario yet again. Anyway, we are going away from the main topic goal, so I'll change the name. _________________

| Star Pieces and Badges are not unnecessary. Badges gives you some boost in a category and Star Pieces can be exchanged for badges at the house at foot of Shooting Star Summit. _________________

| Sorry-thats why I used quotes-I should have made it clearer. By uneccessary, I meant you can beat the game without getting all of them. rdnzl likes to get all of them, but I really don't have the patience. _________________

| Yeah, that's right.
But you do actually need badges to do well in the game....just not all of them. |
